What is Celebrate Recovery?
Celebrate Recovery is a place to gather and find God’s healing power through sharing our experience, strength and hope with one another, through solid teaching rooted in the Bible and best recovery practices, and in accepting God's grace to solve our life’s habits, hurts and hang-ups.
How Do I Get Started?
Celebrate Recovery meets every Monday evening here at Alexandria Covenant Church. Just show up between 6:30 p.m. You'll be welcomed by greeters, check out the recovery information and other resources at our table. Enjoy a cup of coffee while you visit with others before the large group celebration begins at 6:30 pm.
First time participants will go through a Newcomers 101 session. Afterwards, stay as our guest at the Solid Rock Café for free coffee, desserts or a snack. Your kids are welcome too! Free childcare is available from 6:15-8:45 p.m. (Infants-Kindergarten)
What Happens on a Monday evening?
- 6:30 pm-We will have a modified schedule this summer. Open Share Groups: At least one Men's Group and one Women's Group will be available during the summer
- July 12th Picnic at 6:30 pm in the Alexandria City Park
- August 9th Picnic at 6:30 pm in the Alexandria City Park
**Step Study Groups: At various times during the week we offer in-depth Step-Study Groups. Step Studies use the Celebrate Recovery Participant's Guides and the Bible to work more intentionally on our areas of healing and recovery. We start new groups as people indicate interest and we can identify and train qualified leaders. We announce new Step Studies several weeks before a new group starts, they are either Men's groups (various issues or Women's Groups (various issues).
