Alexandria Covenant Church Travels

Eye Opening Experience

Dan Snider

From the moment we landed, I continue to see and learn things every day. I had heard that things were pretty rough over here. I know that Brian and Katie tried to prepare us, but nothing could have prepared me for the sights, smells, and feels for this place. Jamie and I had an opportunity to spend some Range Rover time with Lali, the project manager today. It really helped to get a bigger picture and appreciation for the depth and importance of the work being done here.

I never doubted for a moment that God wanted me to go on this mission. I did however wonder why. I have seen and heard different things each and every day that reaffirms why I am here and the lessons that I needed to learn.

Oops, gotta cut this short, I just heard that we have water for the next little bit. Showers, even cold ones, are a rare commodity…..

I am so happy Jamie and you are feeling that there is a real purpose why everyone is there on this Mission. I am amazed how God knows who and when to send people to do his work. Thanks to all of you who have heard the call and responded as you all did. May all your endeavors be meaningful to the people occupying this area. God's Blessings and safe comings and goings to all of you. Growing in Christ comes when one hears and acts.
