Last Day in Alaska!
Today was bittersweet. Many bonds were formed between our team members and the people we’ve met here at Alaska Christian College. They’ve told us the kind of blessing we’ve been to them, but we’ve been just as blessed. God has given us a great gift of a productive week and new friendships.
“For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” Ephesians 2:10
As I’ve reflected on the trip it is undeniable that we have been in a “sweet spot” serving this week. God’s handiwork does not have an age requirement nor is it geographically bound. It has nothing to do with a skill or experience. We simply are His handiwork in Christ Jesus. Serving others is what we’re meant to do. “Mission accomplished” means living into that calling whether in Alaska or in Alexandria. Serving is the path that God has laid out and walking in it this week with these wonderful people has been joyful beyond description.
Thank you to the many who have prayed for us and encouraged our team. Your investment in prayer and support have been meaningful. Tomorrow we travel and close the chapter on this trip. See you all Sunday morning, bright and early!
