John LeVahn

Pastor John LeVahn is our senior pastor. He received a Master of Divinity degree from North Park Theological Seminary in 1981 and was ordained in the Evangelical Covenant Church in 1985. John and his wife, Sandy, along with their 4 children, moved from the plains of Kansas to the lakes of Alexandria in 1993. They have fallen in love with the congregation and the community and believe that God wants to transform their city through practical, Spirit empowered preaching, teaching, and fellowship.
John enjoys family life and spends his winter months dreaming of summer tennis.
Rol Boyce

Pastor Rol came on staff in October of 2006 and serves as the Pastor of Care Ministries, which encompasses all segments of the church congregation, especially the senior citizen population. His passion for the ministry centers in the joy of seeing lives mature, be restored, and changed at all age levels.
He has been married for 40 years to Joyce Boyce and together they have two grown children and two grand-sons.
Nancy Holm
Worship Arts Coordinator: nancyh@alexandriacovenant.org
Nancy Holm became the Coordinator of Worship Arts in April 2004. She graduated from Bethel College with degrees in Church Music and Music Education. She enjoys working with the variety of styles of music at Alexandria Covenant and the awesome musicians of every age! She especially loves watching the youth develop their musical skills and passion for worship as they grow!
Nancy has been married to her husband Doug for 20 years. They have three children and love the summers on the lake in Alex!
Tim Schmoyer

Tim came on staff in February of 2007 and serves the teenagers of our church and our community. He is passionate about seeing relationships grow between adults and teenagers, for taking youth deep into God's Word, and helping them develop a burden for the lost people around them. He is also the author of a popular youth ministry blog, Life In Student Ministry.
He and Dana have been married for a little over 3 years, they have one daughter and a baby on the way.
Julie Barnes

Julie Barnes has been blessed to raise her own children in a faith believing body of Christ at Alexandria Covenant. In 2003 she began directing the Children's Ministry programs from the nursery through the elementary grades. The tremendous growth in the children and families' faith during these busy years is a daily inspiration to her. What a joy to have kids know God's everlasting love, be passionate about His Word, and live lives that apply His truth. Julie taught Early Childhood and Family Education for over 20 years in the public schools before joining us in full time ministry.
She and Randy are celebrating 30 years of marriage and have 3 great young adult children, and look forward to God's plan unfolding for the next milestones.
Darlene Steiger

Darlene was born in Wadena, MN, but moved many times as a child since her father was a pastor. She graduated from Lutheran Deaconess Hospital in Minneapolis. Later she received a BSN degree from the University of North Dakota. She and her husband were involved in nursing home administration for over 35 years until they retired and moved to Alexandria in 1996. She graduated from the University of Minnesota with a Master in Public Health Administration. Darlene received her Parish Nursing education at Moorhead College. She and her husband have been married for 47 years and have 3 grown children and 4 grandchildren.
